Astghik Martirosyan jointed the TV in 1957, when it was just being formed. She was one of the first who sought to define the TV language and images. She was able to combine the work of an author, editor and director. Starting from 1960, she transferred to the editorial office of literature-drama programs, first as an assistant director, then as a director.
Astghik Martirosyan's documentary film devoted to the Armenian heroes of the Great Patriotic War called "They remained young" was awarded first grade diploma at the First Festival of documentary and TV films of Ukraine and Caucasus in 1967.
She participated in the staging of a number of performances: Rozov's "Kind hour", Kolomnetsa's "Blue deers", Dumbadze's "Do not worry, people", Hakobyan's "Ayu flower", etc. A number of programs she created were broadcasted for many years on Armenian television "Prometheus in music", "Andersen", "The nurse", etc.
Thousands of viewers were deeply touched by "Come here, crane" studio TV programs, directed by Astghik Martirosyan.
